Autumn Annual Conference (October 24-25, 2020): Call for Papers and Panels

The Political Economy & Economic History Society (PEEHS) in Japan invites
proposals for panels and individual papers for its 2020 Autumn Conference,
which will be held Saturday, 24 October to Sunday, 25 October at Senshu
University in Kawasaki city.

In the Autumn Conference, each panel has a two-and-a-half-hour time
share, to consist of several presentations followed by a discussion.
Contributors may also submit proposals for individual papers to be
presented in a maximum of 40 minutes; if accepted, it is possible that these
will be combined into sessions of some papers. Applicants are kindly
requested to download the proposal form below. Panel proposals should
enter 1) the panel session title, 2) the current affiliation and contact details
for the chair, 3) a brief description of less than 800 words in English
outlining the theme or topic of the panel, title of the papers to be read with
name and affiliation of paper presenters, as well as the time schedule of the
panel. Individual paper proposals should enter 1) the paper title, 2) the
current affiliation and contact details for the author, 3) an abstract
(maximum of 300 words).

Please send the application form before the end of May, 2020, by e-mail
to the Secretariat seikeishi”at” (please change the “at” to @ when sending the mail). The result of the application will be sent to the
contact person by mid-July. The organizer of the panel and the author of
the individual paper should be a member of PEEHS.

Spring Annual Conference (June 13, 2020)

The Spring Annual Conference will be held on June 13, 2020,
at the University of Tokyo.

Working Paper Series

The Political Economy and Economic History Society launched a Working
Paper Series (online version) in order to publish the Society members’
research output on political economy, economic history and related
fields of study.
